STEPS AND INGREDIENTS :

  • Egg 2nos
  • Green gram sprouts 1cup
  • Onion 1no
  • Corriander
  • Salt
  • Blend onion , corriander and sprouts .
  • Now add egg to blend .
  • Add salt according to the need .
  • Now pour it in the plate to steam .
  • Cook for 20 minutes .
  • Now check with fork whether cooked or not .
  • Then serve hot with ketchup or any variety of chutney.

Crunchy murukku

Murukku is our traditional snack and one of the most well known recipe by all . But,what so different about this recipe???

This recipe is from my little champ granny’s kitchen. My little one is so found of this snack . This recipie is gonna be very simple and less time required to make the dough .

Ingredients and steps :

  • Boiled rice 1cup
  • Roasted bengal gram 1cup
  • Butter 25gm to 50gm
  • Jerra and pepper powder 1/2tsp ( i.e , jeera:pepper – 9: 1)
  • Salt according to the requirement.
  • Omam or ajwain 1/4th tsp
  • Water only if required.
  • Oil to fry
  • Now , blend the roasted gram to a fine powder and keep it separately.
  • Now blend the boiled rice and add rosted gram powder slowly and blend them together.
  • Now , take it out from the blender to mix other ingredients .
  • Now add jeera&pepper powder , omam and less salt as cooked rice will have salt already in it .
  • Now , add butter and mix well. Butter quantity may vary .
  • Then add red chilly powder and its optional.
  • Add water little by little to make the dough soft .
  • Add water only if required or when the dough is tight to extrude .
  • Knead well for 5minutes.
  • Grease the murukku extruder with oil .
  • Now fill the extruder with dough and extrude over the spatula.
  • Once the oil is hot ,drop the dough gently from the saptula .
  • And wait for few minutes till the oil bubbles settles down .
  • Be precaution that murukku has to turn into golden yellow colour for a good taste and not golden brown.
  • Once the murukku is cooled down, store it in air tight container .

Chickpea pulav

Chickpea is one of the best source of protein and fibre . It helps with digestion , lower cholesterol and lower blood sugar level too. Moreover, this recipe gonna steal everyone’s heart . This diet pulav is from messy moms 🐝 magical creation .

Ingredients and steps :

  • Onion 2nos
  • Ginger garlic paste 1tsp
  • Coriander leaf
  • Green Chilly 2nos
  • Chilly powder 1/2tsp
  • Boiled chickpea 1cup
  • Clove 3nos
  • Flake rice 2cups .
  • To the pan , add oil onion and clove . Saute.
  • Then add green chilly , little corriander leaf and saute .
  • Wait till the onions turns soft and brown .
  • Now add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes .
  • Now add salt , chilly powder and boiled chick pea .
  • Close with the lid and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Then add rice flakes and mix .
  • Immediately switch of the flame.
  • Now add hot water to the level of the rice flake or till the level rice flake immerse . Don’t add excess water.
  • And then close with lid for 15minutes.
  • And then marinate with Coriander and serve .

Chicken Tandoori

Chicken Tandoori is a craving food at all time . It will meet all kinds of emotions be it sad or happy and it’s a big time stress buster . Here comes the super yummy recipie , Tandoorin chicken 🍗🍗🍗

Ingredients and steps :

  • 1/2 kg chicken
  • 3tsp curd
  • 1tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4tsp Turmeric powder
  • 2tsp salt
  • 2tsp red chilli powder
  • 3tsp chicken masala
  • 8 shallots
  • 8 garlic
  • Ginger small piece .
  • 2tsp oil

blend shallots .garlic.ginger into a fine paste .

  • Now , mix turmeric powder , chilly powder , chicken masala , salt and the blended paste in a bowl .
  • Now add curd and apple cider vinegar to the chicken . Leave it for 2 minutes .
  • Now marinate chicken and the masalas together .
  • Leave it in the refrigerator for overnight or atleast refrigerate for 4 hours .
  • Next add oil to the marinated chicken . Just before half an hour from cooking time .
  • Now grease the plate with oil and place the chicken on the plate .
  • Keep it inside the otg under 180°c-200°c with both bottom and top rods on for 40 minutes.

The temperature and time differ for each otg and oven . Otg brand used here is skyline.

Veggie lemon soup

It’s always good to end the day with lite supper . Probably soup can do its best . This soup is a mixture of vegetables of any choice . Messy mom 🐝 simple and quick supper .

Things needed and procedure :

  • Carrot 3nos
  • Beans 6nos
  • Shallots 5nos
  • Garlic 5nos
  • Lemon 1no
  • Mushroom 5nos
  • Salt and Pepper
Vegetables of one’s choice .
  • Chop the vegetables . Peel the shallots and garlic .
  • Boil everything together. ( veggies . Shallots . Garlic )
  • Once the vegetables are soft , switch off the flame.
  • Seperate the vegetables and the stock . Stock is the liquid water.
  • Now blend the mixture to a smooth paste .
  • Then mix the stock with the blended veggie paste and add water according to the requirement.
  • To this add chopped mushrooms . And squeze lime .
  • Boil once again for 10 minutes .
  • Serve with salt and pepper.

Coriander tea

A cup of tea is always a good idea . But too much of it is also not good. Messy mom 🐝 decided to spread posivitivi-tea with a refreshing recipe which can be consumed throughout the day 👌.

Things needed :

  • Coriander powder -2tsp ( roast and blend )
  • Peppers – 1tsp
  • Tea powder – 1/2 tsp .
  • Palm jaggery – 150 gm .
  • Water – 8 cups .

Preparation :

  • Add 8 cups of water to the vessel.
  • Add coriander powder , pepper and tea powder .
  • Wait till it boils .
  • Now add the palm sugar . Kindly avoid using other sweeteners to have the real taste .
  • After few minutes the tea aroma fills the room wonderfully . Now switch off the flame .
  • Filter and consume as many cups according to your cravings 😉
Ref . Add palm sugar only after it boils .

This tea is highly recommended for people with Thyroid . It helps to reduce naturally . It tastes awesome 😍

Fruit ice cream salad

Hello .. we all stuck in quarantine . Few have already become a good home chef , pastry chef etc . But still, we all are worried to eat something like ice cream or food with low temperature .

So , Messy mom 🐝decided to treat your tongue with yummy dessert . This desert is a partial ice cream . It starts to melt in few minutes and give you a creamy texture and taste super good along with other fruits . Moreover , we can manipulate and make kids to eat . I can also say it as diet salad 😉 .

Fruit ice cream salad 😋

Needs:

  • Frozen bananas 3🍌 nos .
  • Fresh cream 2 tsp ( cream which is collected from the top layer of milk after each boil ) .
  • Palm sugar or brown sugar according to the requirements .
  • Fruits of once choice .

Steps to follow :

  • First step , peel the bananas gently .
  • Then add the bananas and cream and sugar if needed to a blender .
  • Now blend it to a smoothy texture .
  • Next , refrigerate for 3 hours and again take it out for blending .
  • Again refrigerate with toppings like choco chips . To attract kids .

Green juice

Messy mom 🐝here comes with a healthy early morning juice . This green juice is bitter and sour in taste but gives tons and tons of energy .

I’m sure, people loves this nutritional drink as it going to be your day booster . And makes you feel active whole day .

Ingredients : For 3 person .

  • 1/4th bunch of coriander leaf .
  • 1/4th bunch of mint leaf .
  • 1/4th bunch of curry leaf.
  • 1 lemon .
  • 1 gooseberry .

Now , grind everything . And now filter . And consume by adding little salt .

For filtration , add 1 cup of water while grinding and filter for the first time . And again grind with second cup of water and drain . And again same with third cup of water . The residue should turn into pale green green .

Benefits includes , Turns grey hair , reduce hair loss , boosts immunity , helps in weight reduction .

Kindly consume within 3 hours from preparation . So, don’t prepare previous night and refrigerate . Kindly add salt before consuming .

Budding 🌱 1

Motherhood is not possible without this stage . Pregnancy sounds so simple to pronounce but it has lots of struggles to complete 40 weeks . But as a women take this struggle as pride. Baby bump is the jewel of every Motherhood.

This is messy mom 🐝 comes with a new article about pregnancy . The article coveres up the first trimester stages .

The first trimester lasts from week 1 through the end of week 13 of pregnancy. The first step is to calculate the due date . Keep in mind that your date might change , so try to go with flow . There’s lot going on in as your baby begings to develop . You may not look pregnant but you feel it . That is because of pregnancy hormones preparing your body to play baby hostess for the next nine months.  So you could in line for quite a few discomforts like nausea , faint , aches etc . But these temporary discomforts are part of a incredible pregnacy .

BABIES DEVELOPMENT.  👼

In the trimester , the embryo develops rapidly and becomes a fetus that is fully formed, weighing about 1/2 to 1 ounce or,  3 to 4 inches on average. To put up in simple language  , the baby’s development in the first trimester includes : baby bones where little arms , hands , legs and feet began to sprout ; Hair and nails ; tender skin ; digestive systems ; sense of touch where develop touch receptors  ; eye sight where optic nerves , lenses and optic nerve began to form , Heart , brain , sense of taste , muscles formation, white blood cells to fight against germs , vocal cord development.

CHANGES IN BODY

A couple of the most common symptoms one experience during first trimester. It includes morning sickness like nausea or discomfort during brushing or early morning cooking smell etc which differs for each person . Tender breast which make you feel annoy sometimes . Mood swings more like a roller coaster for some. Heart burns . Contipation . Food aversion . So people around you should be more understanding with your changes in your attitude.

To help yourself from morning sickness, just be choosy with your food and it has to be nutritional . This is the best time for a women as she can snack often without any guilt . Hydrate yourself with basic water or juices which is most important throughout the pregnancy. Be alert with nausea triggers like food or smell . Always breathe fresh air , first trisemester is meant for meditation and do not try any other exercises, even walking should be slow . Rinse your mouth after vomiting which everyone follows . Do not skip the tablets and do consume according to the schedule .

Weight gain during first trimester is less ,but it gradually increases in 2nd and 3rd mester. Few even suffer weight loss due to morning sickness or the food aversion, which needn’t to be worried about . Most importantly not every women is same ,so each have different experience.

POINTS TO REMEMBERED :

  • Choose the gynecologist carefully. Don’t get carried away with hospital infrastructure. Doctor plays the key role . It’s good to have doc’s the mobile number to call on emergency.
  • As i said earlier, not every pregnancy is not same . So stop comparing your 1st pregnacy with the second or with your neighbor.
  • Stay away from negative people who keeps scaring you with their personal experience or making you feel anxious when you face any discomfort .
  • Do not watch any videos about delivery for self preparing. It might scare you. Go with the flow.
  • Dont skip any meals and keep yourself hydrated. If you go through too much of vomiting, take juices . It would help .
  • Traveling kit , always carry plastic covers ( vomit ), candy or lemon to overcome the nausea feeling, wet tissues , water bottle , dry cloth .
  • Tablet . Don’t skip at all . Kindly consume according to the schedule. If you take calcium and iron together , then calcium will not allow the body to observe iron . Follic tablet is must for baby development.
  • Blood tests and other basic tests are necessary for a healthy baby development. So listen to your doc and don’t hesitate to follow.
  • Clear every single doubts with your doc till you understand . Dont feel shy to clear your query. Take a note of your doubts whenever you get.
  • Choose healthy foods , spinach ; veggies ; fruits ; nuts and dry fruits . And no problem to eat mouth craving food too .
  • Any discomfort like bleeding, abdominal pain, high fever etc do contact your doc immediately to avoid miscarriage. Not to panic but to be on the safer zone.
  • Slow walk and meditate.
